ReplyDeleteOne big mistake is that there's no comma, which drives me nuts. (Please, no one put errors on my tombstone!)
ReplyDeleteAnd this is definitely something out of Poe's worst nightmares ("The Premature Burial" and "The Fall of the House of Usher").
Reminds me of a line from the TV series "The Sentinel". Blair has drowned and as Jim performs CPR, he insists -- "He's not dead! He's just damp!"
