This lovely piece of work comes to us from Amanda. She tells me this marker is inside a church in England. Fascinating. I'm pretty sure if this was in a church in the U.S. there would be a big black censored box involved.
I'm wondering if Dorothy's affectionate sister, Catharine over expressed herself, in hopes that the males in the area would assume sisters were VERY alike.
Actually, that's a pretty standard memorial type in England. You'll find something like that in most of the bigger churches, especially memorials for people who died 1790 - 1850.
Tomb wrecks are real tombstones that make us laugh. No photoshop work is done here (except to cover the names of the victims). We know death can be a touchy subject, and no disrespect is intended. We view this as the lighter side of the other side. While we welcome your photo submissions, we absolutely do not condone trespassing or damaging grave markers. Don't wreck a potential wreck! :o)
