Well, THAT is interesting, to say the least. I can't figure out how a number that large (or small) goes on a tombstone. Was the person born in 304? 1302? The 30th day of - no, wait! there aren't 24 months! Is the cemetery in Europe? This is going to kepp me up all night. Thanks. I think.
It's a grave marker on the floor in the nave of the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam. The numbers were for record-keeping, as in, "Who the heck is buried under lot 302? Or is it 304? Oh, crap...."
Tomb wrecks are real tombstones that make us laugh. No photoshop work is done here (except to cover the names of the victims). We know death can be a touchy subject, and no disrespect is intended. We view this as the lighter side of the other side. While we welcome your photo submissions, we absolutely do not condone trespassing or damaging grave markers. Don't wreck a potential wreck! :o)
