This Time with Feeling

Yes, you get to see the victim's names! I know, big day.

"Teets" is funny, but "Ophelia Teets" is f*cking awesome. Say it out loud*. And do my eyes deceive me, or is her middle name "Rude"? Perfect.

Thank you, Valentine, for a beautiful photograph and quite possibly my most favorite name on a tombstone yet.

*Unless you have impressionable children nearby, then maybe just whisper it.

  1. I'm pretty sure 'Rude' is her maiden name. I am just hoping they didnt live in farming country or there would have been a whole other set of juvenile jokes to have to put up with. Think "teats".

  3. I wonder what it was like for her in school. Getting in trouble for a prank name only it is her real name! And what her peers would say....

  4. "Rude" was indeed her maiden name, and the area in which I took this was farming country in the late 1800s, and still is today. I'm not sure that people in those days had quite the juvenile sense of humor that we do today.

  5. When she was in school her name wouldn't have been Ophelia Teets since that is her married name. So she wouldn't have gotten in trouble at school because of her name.
